Optimized Processes

Recent years have seen a new industrial revolution, known as Industry 4.0. In essence, Industry 4.0 seeks to implement the highest possible degree of automation in production lines, using modern data mining techniques. The resulting data analysis paves the way for new forms of automated solutions and management support.

Many factories carry out processes manually, which could be automated given the right tools. Such solutions optimize the production process, reduce costs, and improve efficiency.

Enter the World of Digitized Industry

Our developments are created for small and medium enterprises (SMEs) at the beginning stages of digitalization. In Hungary, the auto industry alone employs about 170,000 people in 700 SMEs. Many of these do not use any digital solutions, even though their clients often require it. Such SMEs are therefore the main target for Industry 4.0 solutions.

Given the lag in digitalization, production SMEs often have no information on the condition or efficiency of their production processes. Our current development is a simple and straightforward Industry 4.0 solution that can be implemented at low cost. For many Hungarian SMEs, this can serve as an entry point into the world of digitized industry. These firms can lower operational costs, increase productivity and competitiveness, and meet supplier certification requirements.

Cost Effective Solution

Our „Industry 4 Zero Point” development represents an affordable solution for the cost-sensitive SME sector. Working together with our customers, we develop a system to be implemented at a production plant. The basic-level system can measure the productivity of manufacturing plants and their tools, and monitor the number of items produced. The system allows the user to manage a virtual copy of the factory and the finished products. Managers and shift leaders can view the aggregated data in charts and graphics.

A PLC-reader module bridges the gap between the software and the physical plant. Such modules read data (e.g. number of products) from the PLCs managing the production process, and display the results on dashboards that are updated in real time.

Additional Modules

The system can be expanded with additional modules, including:

  • Employee ID Module
Identification of production-line workers, efficiency monitoring, percent of discarded product per employee.
  • Spec Sheet Module
Screens placed along the production line display the specification sheet for the product currently under production. Centralized management of spec sheet data.
  • Environmental Sensors
Many production processes are sensitive to environmental parameters such as temperature and humidity. This sensor module monitors these parameters.
  • Notification module
Collaborators on the production line can report their maintenance or raw material requirements through the system, making communication more efficient and measuring response times, causes of downtime.
